TEST OF THE MEEBO ROOM!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF THE INTERNETS. Meebo has made an awesome thing. Now anyone can embed a chatroom in their own webpage, free of charge. All it requires of your users is Flash. No more javascript, no more IRC channels. Nothing but flash and a page to host it on.

Again, it’s completely free and powerful and awesome. It has great features like keeping track of links that get pasted into the chat, as well as, if I’m not mistaken, PLAYING YOUTUBE VIDEOS AS THEY GET LINKED INTO THE CHAT ROOM.

I AM IN THIS CHAT ROOM AS OF 3:06 BUT WILL BE SEMI-AFK BECAUSE I AM AT WORK. DUH.

If you can not see the chatroom above, click here to go to the hax0ring chat room.

LiveJournal.com Apologizes??

This is nuts.

Well we really screwed this one up…

For reasons we are still trying to figure out what was supposed to be a well planned attempt to clean up a few journals that were violating LiveJournal’s policies that protect minors turned into a total mess. I can only say I’m sorry, explain what we did wrong and what we are doing to correct these problems and explain what we were trying to do but messed up so completely.

So sure, they firebombed shit and realized they probably got some collateral damage in there somehow.

Google Maps

Google Maps - scroll through the Vegas Strip and see stuff. The Stardust is still there, so it’s kind of old, but still cool.

This is a developer preview version of Google Maps that allows you to bookmark Mapplets and KML files.

Tenacious D - Master Exploder

One of my favorite D ’songs’. I had heard this at ComiCon I think two years ago; JB was on a King Kong panel, and then immediately after they did ‘panel’ on the Pick of Destiny, which was really just a live performance of a few of their songs from the movie, (and others.) They played a song or two and then started ‘playing’ this one. He did the whole act, pushed away the microphone, and it was just so hilarious. You didn’t expect it at all.

Likewise on the live tour we just saw recently, when they played this, Kage really ‘played’ that spread-leg guitar thing. Was pretty hot.
