Charlie the Unicorn

Newgrounds Staff Comment:
To answer all the clueless folk: TypeQueen (the creator of Charlie the Unicorn) had a habit of submitting an annual unicorn movie to Newgrounds and this was his 2005 offering. It was later stolen and put on YouTube in a cropped video format, at which point the masses latched on to it. This is the ORIGINAL creation, by the REAL author. If you saw it first on YouTube, you were late to the game - it was already a big hit on Newgrounds in 2005.

Pranksters-For-Hire To Help iPhone Buyers Sneak Ahead In Line

Worried about long lines to buy an iPhone on Friday? A San Francisco man said he and his band of pranksters will create a diversion to distract everybody else in line and allow you to slide right up to the front.

OMG! I Got An iPhone!

I remember watching some sort of video about this, how they were making this into a game. The implications of this are amazing. Using this, Google image searches will be so much more detailed; if you type in ’soaring’ for example, all pictures with the keyword of soaring will appear. Basically it adds human interpretation to the image. This is nuts.

How does it work?
You’ll be randomly paired with a partner who’s online and using the feature. Over a two-minute period, you and your partner will be shown the same set of images and asked to provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see. When your label matches your partner’s label, you’ll earn points depending on how specific your label is. You’ll be shown more images until time runs out. After time expires, you can explore the images you’ve seen and the websites where those images were found. And we’ll show you the points you’ve earned throughout the session.

For example, this image can be described by the labels: sky (50 points), bird (60 points), soaring (120 points), or frigate bird (150 points).
