The Sims On Stage was born from the February 2007 acquisition of online karaoke community SingShot Media, a San Francisco firm.
We talked about this site on the show a while back. It’s kind of awesome that the sims bought them and are using them for powers of good! It’s just kind of strange that it’s branded with The Sims now, in that technically it doesn’t have much to do with the sims… perhaps it’s just their total target demographic? The kind of people who like the sims like singing karaoke? Online? I donno. But it was cool enough of an idea to acquire.
