The artist behind the iconic ‘running immigrants’ image - Los Angeles Times
John Hood, a Navajo and Vietnam vet, has created many works in his job as a Caltrans graphic artist. But the picture of an immigrant family running has resonated far beyond his office cubicle.

Really interesting. The image that has become iconic in our immigration debate was made by a Native American who was poor at one time. I.e got pushed out of his country by foreigners, and also was looking for opportunity in other places.
